Sven Jacobsen’s photography is about simplicity, mindfulness and the beauty of real life. In an increasingly complex and artificial world, his work stands for genuine truth over polished perfection, and it invites viewers to share in the wonder of the everyday.
After a master’s degree in architecture, Sven started working as a freelance photographer in 1999. His work has been shown in solo and group exhibitions including the National Portrait Gallery London, Circleculture Gallery Berlin, Voies Off Arles and the BFF exhibition at Photokina Cologne. He has published several books, among them Like Birds (Hatje Cantz, 2021), Personal Icons (Seltmann + Söhne) and Back to Mama (Kehrer Verlag).
Sven lives and works between Germany and Portugal.
